Haley Penk, M.S., LCMHCA, NCC
Hi, my name is Haley Penk, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Counselor Associate. I have previously worked in college counseling centers and community mental health as an outpatient therapist. I have experience working with a wide range of different clients and presenting concerns. I take a person-centered/eclectic approach to counseling, emphasizing empathy and non-judgment and tailoring treatment to you as the individual and your needs. Some of the interventions I utilize in sessions include CBT activities, DBT skills, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques.
I’m originally from New Jersey but have lived most of my life in North Carolina in both the Charlotte area and Greensboro. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, cooking new recipes, binge-watching reality shows, reading, traveling, and spending time with my fiancé.
Therapist’s Qualifications and Clinical Background
I am a double-alum of the University of North Carolina Greensboro, receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May 2018 and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2021. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, I am also a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Trauma Professional.
