Jordan Mitchener, MA, LCMHC
Welcome! I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and specialize in Perinatal Mental Health. A native to the surrounding Wilmington area, and mother of two young children. As a mother, I know that motherhood can bring many transitions and joys, as well as challenges. I love supporting individuals through life transitions
such as motherhood and adjusting to life as a college student. My passion is helping individuals achieve their goals and live a healthy and fulfilling life. I believe a non-judgmental and collaborative therapeutic approach is vital for creating change. Working together with individuals and families is important in order to help them build on their
strengths, reach their goals, and strengthen family relationships.
I specialize in working with college students and young adults who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and stress management. I also specialize in working with mothers and completed training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I utilize evidenced based treatment strategies such as
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporate other techniques such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Solution- Focused Therapy.
