Contract Therapist

Hi there!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. Wilmington has been my home since 2009 minus moving away for a short bit. I quickly found my way back home, though. My dream to become a counselor began in middle school and I am excited and thankful this dream is now a reality!

My passion includes helping others become the most healed versions of themselves. I especially enjoy working with women and children who have experienced abuse of any kind. I believe everyone can benefit from receiving therapy and I look forward to walking alongside you as you create and accomplish therapeutic goals.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults whom experience depression, anxiety, substance misuse, ADHD, difficult life transitions, ODD, trauma, mood disorders, relational issues, as well as behavioral and academic concerns in the school and home settings.

My counseling approach includes a non-judgmental, empowering stance that is more faith-based. Evidence-based treatment approaches utilized include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

Therapist’s Qualifications and Clinical Background

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and obtained a Master's degree in substance abuse and clinical mental health counseling from East Carolina University. My clinical experience includes four years of working as an intensive in-home specialist providing extensive crisis response, individual and family therapy and conducting case management. From here, I began working as an outpatient therapist with children and adults providing individual mental health and substance misuse therapy. My current professional goals include receiving further training in trauma therapy.
