Lauren King, MA, LMFTA
Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Life is a confusing journey we are all on. Everyone needs some help along the way. I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I help walk alongside my clients to help support and challenge them to grow into the people they desire to be.
I enjoy working with diverse clients with a variety of presenting concerns. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have been specifically trained in working with family systems, couples, relationships; in addition to working with individuals. I have specific experience working with new mothers and families in the transition to parenthood.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with some Experiential and Solution-Focused Therapeutic techniques. I strive to create a calm, safe, and collaborative environment when working with clients to help create an individualized treatment plan to best support working towards my client’s goals.
I have lived in North Carolina for most of my life, originally from the Charlotte area and having lived in the mountains for six years. Outside of working with my clients, I enjoy long distance running, exploring new walking trails, quilting, crafting, and playing with my very energetic GSP.
