“We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.” - Brené Brown

Hi and welcome! My name is Stacy Bechtel, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I believe that change is facilitated through the power of the therapeutic relationship. I prioritize creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment for my clients to feel seen and heard. I will be there with you every step of the way as we navigate all of life’s ups and downs!

I am passionate about mental health and believe in empowering clients by focusing on the strengths and resilience of each person. I will meet you exactly where you are, and together we will create a personalized plan to meet your goals. I have worked in a variety of settings including clinics, in-home, inpatient, and schools. This experience has allowed me to become well versed in topics such as stress management, personal growth, adjusting to life transitions, and occupational burn out. I currently provide individual therapy services to children (8+), adolescents, teens, and adults. Although I don’t provide traditional family therapy, I can provide parent skills training per request. My background as a school-based therapist has allowed me to be active within the community and to develop an understanding of the unique challenges and pressures of school.

My therapy approaches are eclectic in nature as each client is met with individualized interventions and modalities. I use Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Supportive therapy, Somatic work, and Trauma focused interventions in my work with clients. My specialties include: anxiety, emotion regulation, life transitions, mindfulness, stress reduction, and school issues. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.

Outside of therapy I enjoy watching sports games (go Ravens & O’s!), exploring Charlotte, and spending time with my bulldog, Mia.

Values: empathy, patience, authenticity, respect, and kindness
